Work introduction
Written in 2015 and revised in 2023, Corsi e ricorsi is a work in four short movements for six flutes (1 piccolo, 3 flutes in C, 1 alto-flute, and 1 bass- flute). This piece is mainly intended for flute classes in universities and conservatories, but may also be performed by an orchestra of flutes, as it was in 2015 on the occasion of its premiere in the Sala Accademica of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. In group performances the six parts can be doubled ad libitum. The bass-flute part may even be given to a viola or several violas in a performance with a large group of flutes. Other wind instruments can also be used instead of the bass-flute if they have the range and agility required by the final movement.
