Akarapichaimá is an allegory of the sun and the moon, of day and night.
It is a Pemón story, which says that the Peones are descendants of the sun.
Commissioned by the Vertixe Sonora Ensemble and the Suena Festival for Contemporary Hispanic Music (2022) and composed with the support of the Stadt Wien - MA7
