Work introduction
At Greenwood Music Camp, in Cummington, Massachusetts, where I have been on the faculty for a number of years, I live when I'm there in a little house in the woods. At the beginning I was always a little afraid. coming home at night, that I would run into a bear or a rabid raccoon. This piece was written as an attempt to allay that fear.
