Description
The work is based on the famous hit of Deep Purple - Child in Time. The use of the electric flute finds its justification through a varied timbral palette, by processing the sound being close to the sonority of the Hammond organ, or to the riffs specific to rock music. The structure of the work follows the shape of the piece that was the source of inspiration: the introductory and the final part being atmospheric, framing a strongly rhythmic section - a Dionysian energetic outpouring.
... in Time is dedicated to Matei Ioachimescu, Irina Radulescu and Razvan Florescu. The first performance took place in Cluj-Napoca on September 26, 2020 during the LEGENDS national tour.
