Description
The ritual element finds its musical expression through the repetitive formulas in all articulations of the work, through the use of essentialized sonic systems. The dance is born gradually, until it reaches it’s climax at the end of the work. As in all ritual traditions, breathing plays a fundamental role; musically, by using extended techniques, the breath finds new forms of manifestation in all instruments of the ensemble.
Dans ritualic was performed for the first time by L’ARSENALE Ensemble under the direction of Filippo Perocco on May 15, 2014 during the TIMISOARA MUZICALA International Festival.
