Description
This work is conceived as a baroque concerto grosso, with a solo quartet (concertino) and an accompanying ensemble (ripieno). The latter may be as small as a quartet, but a larger ensemble is preferred. The level of difficulty of the ensemble parts is sufficiently modest as to be approachable by less advanced players.
The linked video is of the world premiere at a guitar festival in La Vajol, in the northeastern corner of Spain, conducted by my friend and colleague Michel Grizard.
