This song cycle of about 20 minutes leads artist and listener into completely new musical worlds by juxtaposing new playing techniques on the piano and a harp tuned a quarter tone lower.

It differs, I think, in many ways from most song works published today. The most obvious is that in recent years new song cycles with a development of content - not mere song collections - have unfortunately become rare. Also with regard to the subject matter; after all, a purely spiritual development, without any external plot, is described here, whereby I hope to be able to open up a further perspective at the end.

Finally, however, through the quarter-tone singing voice, which is not only considered difficult to study, but has also been rather avoided up to now, as the results often were unsatisfactory. I hope that the combination of a piano partly operated by "new playing techniques" with a harp tuned a quarter tone lower is not only interesting, but also feasible in practice. This is a great relief for the singer in particular, as he/she can take over the notes for the quarter-tone sections from the harp.

As playing inside the piano is at least unfamiliar to many pianists, I would like to point out that this type of performance is not mandatory. All the passages marked in this way can be played just as well as usual on the keys.There is also the possibility of transferring them to a percussionist.
