Description
Images was originally conceived and created for horn ensemble, then transcribed and re-orchestrated for ensembles of flutes, clarinets, guitars, and trumpets, with the most significant changes being made to the version for clarinet choir, on account of that instrument's extensive range. While the work may be performed in its entirety, the primary goal is to provide a collection of ensemble music from which movements are chosen to suit the needs of a particular ensemble for a particular performance.
For this version, six alto flutes may be used instead of six C-flutes.
