Description
As a person in the first place and a composer in the second place, I've always tried to look at things and phenomenons from different aspects. I do believe NOTHING has a certain, genuine meaning and it's all about INTERPRETATION. The way we interpret things, helps us to define them and gives them sort of meaning.
By this point of view, I think it would be possible to interpret every phenomena (either musical or non-musical) in a musical way. Everything can be interpreted and transformed into music: a poem, a landscape, a tale, a period of life and...etc. As I believe music is not something separable from life experience, but also totally connected. Composing to me is all about the ability of dreaming and interpretation of those dreams in a musical way.
This piece has been written based over this idea. The tale of Ixion from the Greek Mythology leads me to the overall form and structure of the piece. I tried to put myself as the Ixion, dreaming about his experience and transforming my imaginations to a piece of music. I do not want to call this piece a metaphor cause I cannot really separate what we call "reality" from so called "dreams"
