Description
Premiered by pianist Shaun Motiani, this piano piece is inspired by a Varsovienne danced by a broken doll and draws on influences from Bartók and Satie. Composed for a theatrical production by Theater Narrenschiff, Motiani describes it as "creepy, albeit a little uncoordinated—like a broken clockwork, the mechanisms grinding to a halt only to jerk back to life."
