Work introduction
Second composition of the trilogy for orchestra dedicated to Dante and inspired by the last verse of Purgatory. From a few initial sounds, a movement of Passacaglia begins, which unfolds in circular movements just as the cornices that surround the mountain of Purgatory are circular. This climb up the mountain brings Dante to see the splendor of four stars that were never seen except by Adam and Eve: it is the final chord of four sounds of the horns and trombones.
