Work introduction
I was commissioned by œnm . austrian ensemble for new music to write this work in autumn 2019 for a concert project in the anniversary year 2020 of the Salzburg Festival with the theme Pax-Peace. Aequilibrium (equilibrium) for 9 musicians represents an imaginary scale in which tones, sounds, melodic and rhythmic elements, similar to the forces in Newton's physics, act on or against each other to restore the state of equilibrium after a phase of disbalance.
Premiered at the Salzburg Festival on 16 August 2020 in the Great University Hall in Salzburg.
