Singing the silence for electronic voices (2021)
The idea of the composition investigates how silence can be sung. Reflecting on the problem, I came to conceive of how silence can be sung through electronics. From researching electronic sounds to use, I deduced that I was interested in a humanized electronic sound. From humanized electronic sound, I came to conceive that the human voice could represent this desire.From this desire, I was able to create a musical form using only female and male voices.The musical form had to contain the musical technique of Quaternary Music i.e. some precise pitches to be used. The durations used had to create a continuous energy by constantly using the same rhythm in counterpoint. With these attentions I composed the work and I think I satisfied as many ears as possible, even the most difficult ones.
