Jean-Pierre Vial combined a few preexisting themes of his for composing this Canzonetta in 2020.
After a brief introduction, the trio develops a melody of pastoral mood that surrounds a second theme much more syncopated.
The Spilliaert trio premiered the Canzonetta in Brussels, in 2021.
