Work introduction
Chant I, II, III, and IV are related in that they are all composed to the same accompanying digital sounds. However, they are not merely four versions of the same piece. Each is composed for its specific solo instrument, giving each its own unique character.
The representation of the pre-recorded sounds in the score is a summary, designed so that the trombonist will have a clear idea of the accompanying sounds; it does not show every sound. In performance, once the sound file is started, it is to run continuously until the end. It is always the player’s responsibility to adjust the interpretation to synchronize with the pre-recorded sounds.
What is necessary to perform this work?
Besides the score, it is necessary to download the sound file, the pre-recorded sounds that provide the accompaniment to the solo part.
