Work introduction
An ostinato Chacarera rhythm opens the piece in the Terzo and Secondo voices. The upbeat theme in the Primo is added. A harmonically expanded B-section follows. Annotated chorus in the Primo ensues. The accompanying ostinato is harmonically altered through tritone substitution. The chorus intensifies, leading to a bass solo in the Terzo with rhythmic block chords. A short break concludes the solo, and the initial theme reappears with slight modifications. The B-section is extended, and a distinctive, rhythmic figure concludes the piece.
