Work introduction
“Dos Canciones” (Two Songs) is an early work of the composer, exploring the full physical range and color spectrum of the cello. In a poetic and story-telling manner, the piano flows hand in hand with the cello through musical gestures full of intense lyricism and passionate expression. In both “Canciones”, a strong hint of nostalgia can be perceived in the music exposed in a sort of “songs without words”.
