Work introduction
Empedoclea II. Über Materialismus is a piece part of a cycle strongly linked to the thought of Empedocles. The investigation of the matter, of the sonic qualities is the focus of the piece. Through the continuous fragmentation of the material that passes mostly through the deconstruction of the figure, the ensemble becomes a sort of mechanical organism, a body. Each instrument alone draws points and impulses beginning to mark the space. The whole ensemble has the task of reconstructing the figure, agglomerates of sound, as a spatialized line. Time creates space.
