Exaltabo te is a work for mixed choir, commissioned by the composer and written by two US conductors, James Rodde (Iowa State Singers) and Richard Bjella (San Antonio Chamber Choir), to the text of Psalm 145. The structure of this serene and joyful C-major work is most similar to the classical sonata form, but is complicated by two factors: a fugato in the second theme area and a reversal of the order of the themes in the reprise (the main theme appears last).
The work is recommended for advanced amateur choirs.
