Jean-Pierre Vial composed this Fughetta in 2015. Since then, he has made several arrangements of this short fugue for various trios.
Fughetta is a three-voice fugue, in G major, that contains all the elements of a classical fugue (i.e., subject, counterpoint, developments, stretto, coda, etc.).The current version, for cello trio, was premiered in Brussels, in 2021.
