Work introduction
This short piece is inspired by J. S. Bach's Aria BWV 988, the theme of the well-known “Goldberg Variations”.
Despite its much syncopated samba rhythm, which fully contrasts with J. S. Bach's Baroque style, the piece could be considered a supplementary variation to the 30 “Goldberg Variations” where the theme makes the bass line of the variation.
