Work introduction
Impressions of a Starry Night (2020), is inspired from Vincent Van Gogh’s masterpiece. Composed as a single movement, the work comprises smaller intertwining sections which develop or contrast each other. Ordinary and pizzicato piano sounds create a multilayer facet between the celestial calmness and inner tension, resulting in an atmospheric sonorous environment. It was recorded by Tamara Lincheli and released in 2021 by Phasma Music/NAXOS of America.
