Work introduction
Intermezzo for chamber ensemble was composed in Vienna in 2022 and is a tribute to this city, where Krieger lived for a time, and to the composers of the 2nd Viennese School, who developed the dodecaphony here 100 years earlier. The four-minute work can alternatively be performed with choral string instrumentation.
