Work introduction
Influences of jazz music are felt throughout the work, both in terms of choosing a solo instrument very common in jazz music – the saxophone, but also in terms of timbral combinations and rhythmic structures.
Joie de vivre was performed for the first time during INTRADA Festival on the 7th of November 2018 by the Israeli saxophonist Kobi Shem Tov, who played with the Arad Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Cristian Neagu.
