Work introduction
Almost like a dance, Points and Lines is a virtuosity challenge for the oboe and percussion player. It is a sound rhythmic ritual that deals with the possibility of transmutation of small lines, gestures and timbers throughout along the piece. In this sense, the percussion is indispensable for two reasons. It creates independent rhythmic layers and punctuates small timber distortions which cross the oboe lines.
