A four movement Sonata based on the literary masterpiece of Pablo Neruda, his "Poema XX" from his Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Desperation. Cyclical in form, the work exposes in the first three movements, multiple sensations and feelings about Love. All of the elements supporting the programatic concept behind the first three movements take part in the construction of movement four with the responsibility of backing up Neruda's actual poem. The score calls for a narrator to incorporate into the performance reciting Neruda's Poema XX as another vital element of the performance along with the pianist.
2022 will also see a CD recording project in Vienna of all three Piano Sonatas of Luis Saglie at the hands of Austrian pianist, Stefan Stroissnig.
