SATORU IKEDA
Piece for Satomi II
Duration: 4'
Solos:
organ
One day Ikeda suggested Miss Satomi, one of the pupils in his composition class, choose a few pitches so that Ikeda compose music beginning with them as a model. She deliberately chose notes containing compound intervals that sound atonal in an attempt to give him a hard time. This piece utilizes the four pitches, C, G sharp, D and A. The original version was for piano, composed in 2012.
