Work introduction
Like much of the composer's flute music, Reflections was written at the request of British flutist Carla Rees, in this case for a series of concerts with her friend and colleague Milica Milojevic. They premiered it at the festival "Flute Ensembles across Europe" in Poznan, Poland, in 2019.
This fairly brief, single-movement work includes many rhythmically free passages, focusing on the expressive qualities of both instruments.
What is necessary to perform this work?
Both players read from the score, therefore the “parts” listed for the two instruments are the same. It is recommended that the two players share a single score in performance for ease of page turns.
