Commissioned by the National Flute Association for their 2011 High School Soloist competition in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA , the "Three Beats for Beatbox Flute" was written as a work to bridge the gap between traditional flute and modern beatbox techniques. Any flutist can learn these techniques, and this work is a wonderful addition to any performance or recital.
