Work introduction
The "Two Pieces for String Quartet" are short, moderately difficult compositions that can be easily integrated into a string quartet program. They were written for two special occasions: "Pezzo festivo" is dedicated to my dear friend and chamber music partner Monika Hinterlehner for her seventieth birthday. "Sonata per Raffaelo" was written under the impression of the birth and the first days of life of my beloved son Raphael Alfred, who with this piece has already received the first dedication of a work by his father.
