Commissioned by the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Sonnet 'I like Bartulis' was written as an in memoriam to the Lithuanian composer Vidmantas Bartulis.
Bartulis was a composer who was a great influence and inspiration, and one of the many reasons why Ben Lunn studied in Vilnius. Throughout Bartulis' life he composed works with the common label of 'I like...', so it felt like a suitable nod to the composer to admit 'I like Bartulis'
