Work introduction
The Minuet in G minor, attributed to Christian Petzold, is well-known from the collection Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV Anh. 115). In this arrangement for flute and piano, the piece has been adapted to allow the flute part to elegantly weave around the main melody in the piano. Conversely, when the flute takes the lead with the main melody, it is accompanied by dance-like Baroque chords in the piano.
