Work introduction
The title of the work is inspired by the God Agni, who in Vedic mythology represents fire. Rhythms, accents, sound explosions will therefore become primary forces that will shape the musical discourse. The slow, contrasting parts will have the role of potentiating the kinetic energy.
Agnis was written for the Wahnsinn Trio, for an instrumental formula with endless possibilities of timbral combination: viola, horn and trombone. The first performance took place during the INTERNATIONAL WEEK OF NEW MUSIC Festival, on May 26, 2019.
