Work introduction
The innocence of the lullaby is suggested by the repetitive formulas of the soprano, in a musical discourse in which the vocalization is combined with the recitation of the text. The emotional intensification of the melodic line is achieved with the help of the electronic support that renders a polystratified cry of newborn babies. Cântec de leagan is part of the collaborative project Opera 9, inspired by George Enescu's opera Oedip, on a libretto by Rucsandra Pop.
The piece was performed for the first time by Antonela Barnat on May 9, 2017 at the George Enescu National Museum.
