14 Preludes
Duration: 30'

Preludes are such wonderful short self contained pieces of music. There’s no need to be long winded or exercise an abundance of imagination. (maybe sometimes there is) For the most part they’re easy to create and easy to listen to. Yet the temptation to knock together a musical string of pearls is needless to say appealing and irresistible. Preludes are an invitation to the composer to be at their very best but to always employ a very condensed approach.
The design of a prelude is intentionally that of a profile or a silhouette. Like a seed thats trying to be a mature tree but is still in the shape of a seed.Yet a human being is very capable of doing just this with their imagination and/or their talent.
This book of preludes consists of 14 preludes not the usual 12.
I did this not to be arrogant but to be productive and profuse with my musical offerings.
