Work introduction
I wrote this solo piano piece for and dedicated it to my wife. It is short, sweet and approachable. At the time it was a challenge for me to write. Stylistically, the music was so out of my comfort zone that I felt lost. Nonetheless the lyricism and the warmth conveyed is revealing and effectual. Sometimes a composer can say more with music than he or she can say with words. I know no excuses when it comes to telling your wife, in plain English, that I love her.
Elizabeth is a happy simple little piece of music.
That in itself is something of a miracle.
