Work introduction
An original composition for winds, harp, solo strings and string orchestra. It is a non-tonal composition. It's predominantly modal. It is diverse and rich in melody. It utilizes no extended techniques. There are many soloist passages. It's creation was heavily influenced by Fanny Mendelssohn's (Felix Mendelssohn's sister) string writing in the final movement of her string quartet in Eb major.
This musical expression is meant to inform and encourage a sense of appreciation for the miracle of life and consequent awe that it may inspire.
