Work introduction
Aurora for violin and orchestra is composed in a single movement. The violin exposes at the beginning a slow, lyrical and expressive motif that contrasts with two other later motifs composed of fast ascending scales and descending arpeggios. Violin and orchestra develop the motifs with a result in the manner of a Sinfonia concertante.
