Work introduction
"MATIZ VIII" was imagined as a kind of improvisation session, an immersion in various trumpet references in the jazz world that have always been inspiring for my creative process. And in this sense, the performer becomes a sculptor of time, assembling and dismantling patterns, rhythms and colors throughout the music. The work is especially dedicated to the Brazilian trumpeter Adenilson Telles.
