Work introduction
I conceived MATIZ XII as a kind of rite, "C A N T O DE P A S S A G E M", a "Passage Song" in memory of the victims of covid-19. With a melancholic character, its melodic line develops in a flux of permanent transformation, as if at each moment our psychological state suffered small deviations and transitions, but always returning to the initial line through a new sonorous perspective. Work dedicated to oboist Vicente Moronta.
